It was a trend in 2008, but it's going to be even bigger in 2009. Many event coordinators are realizing that if we don't take care of our planet, who will? Your events are full of opportunities to make ethical informed decisions as well as many opportunities for waste. Just consider using organic flowers, recycled paper in your invitations, local and organic foods at your cocktail party, and even biodegradable plates and forks. Each step can make a difference in this world!

The New Kids on the Block

Skybox Events would like to introduce to you some of our "New Kids". While they are not new to Skybox, they are new to our website. So take a look, and meet our team!

Brandi Virden- Brandi is from Southern California and has been working in the event industry for over 6 years. She has received her BA from Loyola Marymount University and will soon be completed with her graduate studies. Brandi has managed and coordinated numerous events, building
her passion for event planning over the past five years while coordinating events on college campuses. Brandi began working with Skybox Event Productions about 2 years ago, where she has been able to fine tune her organizational skills to bring every client serenity and comfort during each unique event.

Susana Gonzalez – Susana is from the Los Angeles area where she has been working for several years. She has been working with Skybox Event Productions for over a year, bringing her ability to capture the innate beauty and fun of every person, venue, and experience to every event. Specializing in weddings, Susana’s personal philosophy is that the work done is just an extension of the love the bride and groom have for each other and to be able to make their day into a perfect and enjoyable time is what coordinating weddings is all about.

Breaking Away

Try using smaller and colorful floral arrangements to create a vibrant centerpiece. At the end of the evening, you can invite guests to take a piece of the arrangement before heading home. Use break-aways to break away from your typical large arrangements.

It had been a week unnaturally warm for October. But did this heat carry through to the most important day of all brides lives? Although on the day of Diana and BJ's wedding rain made an interesting obstacle for this wedding, the plans soon turned out better than expected, turning this drizzly day...Red Hot!

Everyone has a friend or knows someone that is a florist, but not everyone can call themselves a floral designer. A few years ago, I was introduced to Tracey through a friend. I came to realize that Tracey Go is not your average floral designer...she is creative, honest and the sweetest person you will ever meet. Her company, The Flower Tray has been in business for years. We have had the privilege and honor to work together these past two years. To our special floral designer, Tracey Go: You are much more than a florist...you're our friend. We look forward to more exciting projects with you!

First Timer

There is a first time for everything. Skybox Events will be in our first Trunk Show! This will be a great chance for you to see the latest in wedding trends and designs. Custom invitations are said to be made with love. In my world they are produced from much patience, excessive time, and kind assistants from your family and friends. We had the opportunity of customizing Trinh and Carlo's wedding invitations.
